We will be taking a pilgrimage to Italy next month but with all the talk about terrorists making threats against the Pope and Rome it can be scary.

Please pray we have a safe trip and also for my fear of flying to have a peaceful trip. The people we are going with aren’t in the best of health so they need prayers as well to not have a bad reaction to the traveling.

Thank you so much.

Our Father…Hail Mary x10
Glory Be…Fatima Prayer…Amen!

Prayers for you and your fellow travelers.

Watch your step, we had three people trip/fall on my pilgrimage bc we weren’t used to the uneven (for us) sidewalks and roads. :o

Praying to St. Christopher for you to have a safe journey going & coming home.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

My sister has reserved a wheelchair for her hubby who has heart problems. I am very careful myself after falling a few years ago, breaking my wrist. I understand in Europe they don’t have handicap accommodations like they do here.

Most of the stuff we worry about doesn’t happen. 'Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life. ’ praying for your intention. You remind me of when I went to Israel a number of years back. There was some concern because of the fighting that goes on there. But we never had any issues. Trust in the Lord and give him your concerns. Peace be with you.

As a side note. Here is a joke this reminds me of. This joke Father gave last homily on the keys of Peter. A bishop got into a cab. While enroute the cab got into an accident and both the bishop and the cab driver died. Now, they both went up and met Peter at the pearly gates. Peter said to the cab driver come right in, and take this robe, and sit at the front at my side. Then Peter said to the bishop you may come in but you will have to go to the back of the room. The bishop looked at Peter and said how come the cab driver gets to sit up front and I, a bishop, have to go to the back of the room? Peter turned and said to him that every Sunday you preached sermons that put people to sleep. But everytime someone got into his cab they prayed.

I assure you of my prayers.

Rome is a place, especially the Centro Storico, where you can not put your foot down without being in the footprint of one and even of many saints.

And you will be surrounded by them as go about and see where they are enshrined or otherwise commemorated. May they keep you and your traveling companions in their care and in their prayers.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Fiacre

St. Fiacre, you were raised to adulthood in a monastery, and chose to continue a religious life as a hermit. However, your humility and holiness were such that you keep attracting followers, and as a result you fled from Ireland to France. Asking the permission of the Bishop in your new location, you set up a heritage and garden. It is said that when you walked the perimeter of your garden, dragging your shovel behind you, the soil was miraculously cleared and plowed. Once again, your life of prayer and labor, fasting and vigils, became known and people flocked to you for advice and to be your disciples. You performed many miracles in Christ’s Name, and your garden became a place of healing pilgrimage for centuries.

St. Fiacre, we ask for prayers in our necessities because we are confident that you will listen to us as you did petitioners in your lifetime. Please pray for our intentions, that they may be granted according to God’s will, and that we may experience inner peace and joy that God has heard our petition favorably. Please also pray that we may learn to labor assiduously for kingdom of God, and that we may be fruitful in this endeavor. Amen.

St. Fiacre, pray for us!
