I am a peruvian living in Lima. Since the last four years, the venezuelan exodus has brought to South American nations a people who have gone to misery. Here in my country, there are already almost A MILLION venezuelans. Most of them subsist with informal jobs and selling food in the streets (though I’m mostly speaking for Lima, where the majority of them have gone). A few have jobs in companies. But there are many (because they keep coming, in hundreds everyday) who have to beg their daily bread. I remember walking through an avenue and a kid with his mom begging me to give them a cent. The way they conveyed their solitude was heartbreaking. And they have to deal with increasing xenophobia from our (peruvians) part.
Please, pray for them, they need the prayers so much (some don’t even have shoes, as they have worn out).
