Dear Friends in Christ: Please pray for Nan,
who is dealing with severe mental illness.

Thank you and may God bless you all.

Prayer of St. Dymphna

Lord, our God, You graciously chose St. Dymphna as
patroness of those afflicted with mental, emotional,
and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and
a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her
intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure,
youthful martyr, relief, and consolation to all suffering
such trials – especially Nan, for whom we pray.

We beg You, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna
on Nan’s behalf. Grant Nan patience in her sufferings and
resignation to Your divine will. Please fill her with hope,
and grant her the relief and she so desires.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, Who suffered
agony in the garden. Amen.
 
Saint Louis Martin, to the sorrow of your saintly daughters, including Saint Therese, you endured a kind of mental ilness towards the end of your life.
Please pray with compassion for Nan in her mental illness.
Saint Therese, who grieved to see your beloved Papa mentalyl fade away, please pray for Nan.

Dear St. Louis Martin, you suffered so many losses in your life. But you remained kind and generous. And you were an exemplary father to your daughters. In your goodness, please pray for Nan, who is suffering greatly. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father plesae bless and heal Nan. May Nan live strong in Christ and be freed of mental illness to help spread the good news of your word. In your name, Jesus amen!

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Nan’). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Nan’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

Our Lady of Mental Peace, Mother of Tranquility and Hope, look upon
Nan in this time of unrest.

Please bring her needs to your Divine Son: that God’s gentle peace,
which this world cannot give, be with her always; that God will give
her the grace to share this peace with others; and that God will show
Nan that His love is unchanging and unchangeable. Our Lady of Mental
Peace, pray for Nan. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
