Please Pray for the Conversion of the Young Man named John Paul

My Brothers & Sisters:

A former Episcopal priest who’s converted to Catholicism (He and his family attend a Catholic Church in Orange County) has asked me to pray for the conversion of one of his sons, named John-Paul.

This former priest told me that his son was born at the beginning of the Pontificate of Pope John Paul II, and that Pope John Paul II impressed him so much that he started him on his way towards Rome. That’s why his son was named after Pope John Paul II.

His son tells him that he resents the whole family leaving the Episcopal Church, esp. leaving the privileged position as Rector and as “Rector’s kids”. Because of this resentment, he’s been doubting his faith and questioning his belief in God and Truth.

Please pray that John Paul will come to see what his father, mother and the other members of his family have seen. Please also pray that God will soften his heart and remove his resentment so he can receive the Gift of Faith. Please pray that John Paul can come to receive the Lord, the Catholic Faith and the Catholic Church “the pillar and bulwark of Truth”.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Father please send Your Holy Spirit into this young man so that he realises that position in the community isn’t a basis for religion, but instead give him true faith in God and acceptance of the Catholic beliefs
