massive rain dumped about a month’s worth of rain over a period of 24 hours which flooded the entire capital region. most had to climb up to their second floors as floods submerged the main floor of their houses. others even ended up on their roof. at least 10 people have died

Prayer to Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Virgin of Antipolo)

O Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, Virgin of Antipolo, look kindly upon the needs of your children, as we journey to our home in heaven. For you, O Mother, know full well what it is to travel on the road.

From that room in Nazareth where you received the joyful news from the angel Gabriel, you taught us the generosity of a Christian obedience that surrenders and entrusts all to Divine Providence.

In your journey to that stable in Bethlehem on that first Christmas night, you taught us how to treasure in our hearts the overwhelming graciousness of Our Father.

In your flight to Egypt with your newborn, you taught us the quiet courage that springs from a firm faith in God, even in the face of great danger and suffering.

In that sorrowful climb up to Calvary on that fateful Friday afternoon, you taught us how a human love can rise to greater heights by self–giving and forgiveness when transformed and united to ineffable Divine Love.

O Mother, you give us so much hope and encouragement by your example of filial love and discipleship. As you accompanied Christ in your journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem, from Egypt to Galilee and finally to Calvary, you discovered the loving presence of God in ever new ways.

O Mother, as we undertake our own journey on this road, accompany us in our discovery of God in our lives and in the lives of other people. Make us see him with the eyes of our hearts, and help us to know Him and to grow deeper in His love through life’s joys and pains. And at our journey’s end, lead us to the doorsteps of heaven and bring us to your Son Jesus who has secured and prepared for us a place in our Father’s home.

Amen.

I can imagine the many personal tragedies and losses as consequence of such a massive, unexpected flood. The people of the Philippines with be in my thoughts and prayers, today and in the weeks ahead as they struggle to deal with their losses, and to rebuild their lives. May God help them to keep faith in the face of their disaster.

Lord, please hear our prayers asking for protection, and safety for those who live in the Philippines. You are almighty God, nothing is too great for You to handle. Please bring an end to these floods, and restore peace back to this region. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. :gopray:

God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I ask and implore you to show mercy on my countrymen who are going through these hard times.

I ask you Father God for the sake of Jesus’ sorrowful passion, Have mercy on us and our nation beleaguered by this storm.

I believed this too, shall pass. In Jesus name. Amen

It brought severe damage,s killed more than 50 person. A river overflowed and made some industrialized places sink. There are persons that are missing. Some haven’t eaten for a day or two because they can’t get out to but one because of the flood. They were stranded at their rooftops. We live in a high place so we were safe from damages, but the people in our Capital City is greatly affected - rich and poor alike. God bless you and thank you very much!!

O God, Master of this passing world, hear the humble voices of your Filipino children. The Sea of Galilee obeyed your order and returned to its former quietude; you are still the Master of land and sea.

We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control. The Sea, like a provoked and angry giant, can awake from its seeming lethargy, overstep its conventional boundaries, invade our land and spread chaos and disaster.

During these trying times, we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare us from these tragedies that destroy lives and properties. At the same time, we ask you to help us coped with this calamity.

O Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our Beloved Mother, we ask you to plead with your Son in our behalf, so that spared from the calamities common to our area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we will walk in the footsteps of your Divine Son to reach the heavenly Jerusalem where a storm-less eternity awaits us. Amen.

Father God, all the elements of nature obey your command. Calm the storms and typhoons that threaten us.

Turn our fear of your power into praise of your goodness. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And may Your Perpetual Light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
Amen.

in behalf of my countrymen, thank you all!

please continue with your prayers. more people are being found dead and more people suffer in the aftermath. a lot of people lost their homes and a lot have nothing to eat. a lot have lost most of their possessions and most of these are poor people who already have little. and of course with little to no shelter and cramped conditions at shelters, the potential to get diseases is high. please pray for everyone most especially the children

God Bless all of you

Lord God, no one is a stranger to you and no one is ever far from your loving care. In your kindness, watch over the victims of this disaster in the Philippines, those separated from their loved ones, people who are lost, sick and hungry., and those who have lost their homes. Bring them back safely to the place where they long to be and help them always to show your kindness to strangers and to all in need.

Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

**Romans 12:12 **
Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

O Father God, grant us patience to endure and faith to accept whatever comes with each new day.

May we continue in hope as we look forward to a better tomorrow. In Jesus name Amen.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

For your intentions

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear our prayers. Amen
