My Brothers & Sisters:
A very good friend and comrade at arms of one of the members of our congregation was killed in streetfighting in Iraq last week. The name of the man who was killed is Rob. His friend is named Fred.
A week before, their Commanding Officer, Don, was shot in the back and severely wounded. Although he’s alive, Don has a long and difficult road ahead of him trying to recover from his wounds.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Rob and that the Lord will bring him into that paradise where God Himself “will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore,…” (Rev. 21:4)
Please pray also that Fred will be comforted. Another member of our congregation who was a good friend of his, Betty, also passed away two weeks ago.
And, Pray that the Lord will heal Don of his wounds and speed his recovery.
