Please pray that God brings me a close group of friends to help take the lonliness out of my days. I pray that God blesses me with some friend support out here.

I went through the same thing when I lived in north Florida. Have you joined any activities at your church? I’ve met some wonderful friends at mine. If not, maybe try varying the times you attend mass. Anyway, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lonliness is such an awful feeling. Having moved many times during my life, I know how it feels. What has helped me most is doing volunteer work, especially with groups that have mostly people the same age as me, or at least the majority are that. There are so many places that need an extra pair of hands and I have met some wonderful people doing this. But don’t forget, there are many wonderful acquaintances that come into and out of our lives. Very, very few are true FRIENDS. I will pray for you.

Praying for you that loneliness subsides soon. Read your local church bulletin - they are always needing volunteers or soliciting for organizations or activities. Some of my closest friends I met at church through choir, scouts, coaching t-ball, etc. Good luck and God Bless.

If you ask a good father for bread he will not give you a stone… I pray that our Father will bless you with true and good friends.

Friendship also enables us to perform acts of mercy… in union with Mary as an offering to the Divine Mercy.
