Next June,I have a load of ENORMOUSLY important Examinations called the Junior Cert.Anyone who is familliar with the irish schooling system will realize how serious this is.If I fail the Junior Cert, the whole rest of my life could be ruined.I need to study and have an awful lot to learn. Please pray that I will study well &gain enough knowledge and understanding for the exams, and please pray especially about mathes and algebra. Thanks

Prayers for you.

I find comfort at such times in praying to St Joseph of Cupertino and St John Vianney, both of whom struggled greatly in their studies but succeeded through the grace of God (St Joseph) and perseverence (St John).

I know this is important - but I imagine like most exams it is actually repeatable at a future stage if you don’t pass? If so, it isn’t quite the end of the world.

St. Joseph of Cupertino is the patron of those sitting for exams. I will keep you in daily prayer.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Thanks so much to everyone;I am finding it easier to learn now,but please keep praying!

To Barbera Therese-I thougt St.Isidore was the patron of exams:confused: But thanks,I will defifinitely pray to St.Joseph of Culpertino now.

To LilyM-I suppose it might be repeatable at some stage, but the teachers would be really angry if I failed, and I would get into trouble.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help,

Please bring to this young woman, Ttrozzle, insight and wisdom that she needs each day to exceed. It is by the grace of God that we succeed. Help her to calm her nerves and be diligent each day, disciplining herself to the studies that she must get through. Help her to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and take His hand toward correct thinking in school. Help her to shut out all of the noise that I hear distracting her.

We ask this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

(As an aside, I had to study hard in school too. And it will happen for you, trust in Jesus. But one thing, your future will not be ruined, in your mind maybe, not to discount it’s importance in your life, but be assured that God will get you to where He wants you when you work with Him. Blessings girl- get to studying!)

Hi Teeliumtrozzle…I think that St. Isidore is regarded as patron of the internet and more or less newly appointed to that important post. He could well have also the patronage of exams - I am unsure. Here is a link to St. Jospeh of Cupertino:
catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=4083

Apparently the story is that St. Joseph wanted to be a priest but doubted he had the ability to pass the exam and so asked God that the questions would be only those he knew the answers to and he did pass, able to answer the questions. The Holy Spirit too is one to invoke for examinations - He gave me the Grace to succeed in an important examination in the long ago, when I had been assured I would not be successful.

I will be keeping you in prayer that you will succeed in your exam. God’s Blessings and His Peace…Barb:)

Thanks again to you all:) I may never come back to this site again,so farewell and Pax vobiscum.
