Hi, would you please recommend which Bible version you prefer and let me know why you prefer that particular version. Thanks, Michele

I keep hoping that any day they will release the Ignatioan Study Bible, but I supose it will be a few years yet. The books they publish independently have excellent study notes but it is not economically feasible to buy the collection for myself. Not to mention the entire Bible is not available yet.

Hi, thanks so much for the answer. And thanks for the link. I went to the link and it helped a lot and answered my questions. I am getting the Bible from Ignatius.

In my opinion, the best commentaries are from the Navarre Bible.

I’ve got a boatload of Bibles. My personal favorite is the Douay-Rheims Version and I read it on my own. Behind that are the NAB which has less than great notes (being a study Bible) and then I use RSV w/Deutercanonicals (though I haven’t got the CE yet. Probably will go with the Ignatius Bible for that. Then Jerusalem, and all the rest…even a few Prot ones, but I would never use them for study and mostly they are all NT’s. :bible1:

Saint Joesephs New Edition Catholic Bible. WHich is now an old bible.
