Interesting enough, even here there are no stories from Orthodox to Catholicism, but there are 6 Jewish → Catholic converts, which is what the OP was looking for.
There is at least one poster, whom is very active on the Traditional Catholic forum that is from a Jewish background, but I don’t recall seeing him post in this forum.

I would be interested in reading his story…

I was born into Roman Catholicism then was baptised and chrismated Orthodox as an adult

after many years i have gone back to the Latin Catholic church where i started

even my old EO priests understand my move back and say the right church for me is where i find peace ,and i find peace in RC

I have had alot of tribulation and a troubled soul in previous years and when i went back to RC after a long time away i cried like a baby in church several times and felt a sense of God and Peace there that i needed to find for a long time

Experiences like those and finding rest for my soul in RC outweigh my old EO way of thinking that Rome is heretical and in schism from Orthodoxy etc

Alot or millions of Catholics find God,peace, love and salvation in their church and i think the EO mentality or attitude that i put up with for a long time of bashing the Catholic church as heretical ,schismatics etc,i think it lacks sensitivity, maturity and love for their fellow Christian brothers and sisters

My soul has since settled down thanks to settling upon the Rock of the Catholic church.

At times i miss the Orthodox chanting services but i may drop in to my old EO church for half an hour here and there or visit an EC church for Liturgy.

Peace, pray for me and my journey

God bless

Good for you Paul. But I must say, a lot of RCs bash the Orthodox as schismatic heretics as well. No one side has monopoly on holiness, and there are nut jobs on both sides. If you found the peace of Christ in the Roman Catholic Church, then good for you. I know it is forum policy not to tell people to move out of the Catholic Church, but it is my personal policy that when people have questions about Orthodoxy and Catholicism I just tell them to explore both closely and then figure out for themselves where they need to go. Basically, where we find Christ. There is no right or wrong answer here for a third party, but only one can find the true answer for themselves and regardless of what they choose, people on the outside should just respect that. Your journey is a testament to this, how it works, and how finiding Christ is more important than polemics.

I’m not sure exactly what the OP is looking for as far as story goes, and I’m not sure how much detail I’m willing to post on a public forum. I am also somewhat struggling with my faith right now. My husband and I both converted to Catholicism from Judaism. Although neither of us had practiced Judaism for a long time prior. He was raised Jewish, I was not. Both of us were exposed to Catholicism growing up through friends or extended family. Both us felt that Christianity was the fulfillment of Judaism, for lack of a better term. We are traditional Catholics that have spent most of our time attending EF of the mass.

My biggest struggle in becoming Christian and what I am still struggling with is between Orthodoxy and Catholicism, but that is a discussion for another place and time. And before someone says it, yes I know about Eastern Catholicism, that alone is not the solution to my struggles. Again, another time and place for that discussion I just wanted to nip the whole " just go to the EC churches" inevitable response.

Thanks Constantine, God Bless

Your right ,I didnt mean to criticize the Orthodox, not all Orthodox are “nut jobs” ,i know some very loving EO people and ive heard some Orthodox guysalso say here that where they live they dont bash Catholics etc
Im just being honest in what i experienced over 16 years at EO ,i went to talks several times a week for years ,and heard alot against the Catholic Church…doesnt matter…

I work with an Indian non-Christian and he wants me to take him to Church so he can experience Christianity and he wants to live a better life.
I told him we will go the Russian Orthodox church one week ,then to see the Catholic Cathedral the next,so he can see both RC and EO ,and let him experience both rites.

I guess the Russian Catholic church could be an option instead of the Russian Orthodox church, see how we go.

Peace

Maybe a Syro-Malankara Catholic Church or Syro-Malabar Catholic Church too. 🙂
