Police say 30 kids involved in Winnipeg sex ring
It’s not known how long the alleged bawdy house was in operation, but some neighbours told CTV News they’ve been suspicious about the happenings inside the house for months.

“I see cars going back and forth down the street, picking up girls and they go to that house,” said neighbour Alvaro Faria.

Hardy Groening said he saw children around the house when he would pass by at different times during the day, and noticed they weren’t in school.

Disgusting that people would exploit children that way, both the pedophiles who pay for the sex services and the women who forced the children into it.

Is it a legal law that you must report suspicous behaviour** if you think **a crime is being commited or is it a question about a “moral law”?

Although there is nothing wrong with reporting suspicion, I do beleive the law forces you to report if you have evidence of a crime being committed, and not if you only ‘think’ there can be.

If ‘you think’ would be the case, anyone would be reporting all sorts of things.

Anyone around here a lawyer who can clarify on this?

The Child and Family Services Act requires reporting. But there is no remedy for not reporting except if you are a professional with a duty of care; then you can be fined for not reporting.

A lot of people don’t report. Some people even obstruct other people from reporting.

It is not for a person to make the decision to apprehend the suspect. That is for the police. But if there was something going on and a person was in a position to have a reasonable suspicion that something was going on and that person didn’t give the police a chance to do their job then I say that person is complicit.

The question is: what needs to happen to stop child sex trafficking? And why isn’t it happening?
