I saw this story last night on Nancy Grace. I was watching Glenn Beck, and she came on right after. I was so appalled, I couldn’t turn the story off. All I kept thinking was, why can’t these people connect the dots? Why can’t they see that all this destruction of innocent children is the result of contraception and legalized abortion? When we convince people that babies are not human, that the value of human life is relative, what do we expect? And the horror stories just keep coming. I felt like throwing up all night.
But I’m not sure the mother did it. I saw some video of her, and she seemed really devestated and broke down in the middle of a sentence. It didn’t seem like acting, but I’ve been fooled before. Of course, there was talk of drinking that night, so perhaps she was drunk and really doesn’t realize what she did? She has 3 other children by a different father. So why are they perfectly fine and she decided to kill this one? We’ll see what facts come to light during the trial. It’s all just so horrible. I can’t even think about it.

There have been cases like this in the past. There is a condition termed Post Partum Psychosis that I would guess might have been the problem here.
I know some people here will not want to accept this, but sometimes the body goes haywire at the end of pregnancy. Pre-Eclampsia, (Toxemia) is another mysterious illness of pregnancy that can cause extreme imbalance within the body, sometimes leading to seizures, coma, and death. Post Partum Psychosis affects the mind, and is a mysterious illness that strikes women in days and weeks following delivery, causing them to lose touch with reality.

I thought of this too, but the baby was 3 months old, and no one saw the mother struggling with any kind of post partum depression. I struggle with horrible hormonal shifts that make me act out of the ordinary, so I have no trouble believing in the reality of post partum psychosis. However, her mother was on Nancy Grace and said that China never suffered from post partum depression with any of her children including this one. Unless it was a snap thing, I don’t think anyone will buy that in this case.

Oh, the clip from the arcticle said ‘newborn’. Three months is way beyond the newborn stage. I wonder what caused this? I don’t know enough about post partum depression to say if that might have had an effect at that point. The human mind is a mystery, and I can’t imagine what causes someone to snap like this.

My guess is drugs – meth, heroin, whatever, but no sane, sober person (perhaps she was mentally ill, but my money is on a drug induced psychosis vs. a bonafide medical/mental illness)
