Hi! I’m just curious, in marriage prep, my now dh and I researched and discussed our love languages. We are sort of opposites, I am a quality time/physical touch person, while he is an acts of service/words of affirmation person.
This has caused some tensions in our marriage, but at the same time, ultimately it has really helped both of us to grow in our understanding of each other and to work on making the other feel loved how they need to feel loved. I’m just curious how many other people have the same situation and what it has done for their marriage.
Also, do any of you struggle to express a particular love language? My family has never been one to speak words of affirmation, so it has definitely been a challenge for me to learn to give my husband words of affirmation. God bless you all!
