Have tried and tested many years and have come to the conclusion I love Autumn best Ratio 🙂

I hate Australian Summers these days. The sun is like a furnace, bushfires , snakes, heatwaves that go on forever.

Spring is a bit stressful as it can rush into Summer prematurely…the gentle weather is short lived .If there’s an Indian Summer …a prolonged Autumn it can be so beautiful.
Crazy weather tonight 🙂 It sounded like the roar of an angry ocean before.

Thunderstorms, sheep weather alerts and severe weather warning. It’s going to cut up,rough over the next 24 hrs

I don’t like too much heat but since the weather’s generally mild where I live year round, I prefer the summer sunshine. Our worst months for heat are usually August and September.

Winter all the way. 35 below zero, snow, wind, 16 hours of darkness. I love it.

Winter. I’m a skier.

Besides, on the comfort front you just can’t beat winter. If you’re cold there’s generally something more you can do to warm up, like put on another layer of clothing. In summer, if you’re hot there is only so much you can take off 😬

Neither one. Autumn has always had my heart. The leaves changing color, the nip in the air, the smells of hearty stews and roasts from the kitchen…nothing quite like it. Also, the transitory nature of the season gives it an irresistibly bittersweet flavor.

You have a nice way of describing it.Autumn varies a lot country to country but there’s dreaming of summer just passed and a slight urgency to prepare for oncoming winter .
Here where I live in Australia it is the beginning of the farming season, the big rains come (Autumn break) and crops are sown to grow through winter and Spring. The new grass finally emerges, new calves and lambs are born .

Thank you! I have a bad habit of forgetting that CAF is international in its scope; thus the seasons are not the same for every member. I should have edited my post to say ‘here in the USA’ at some point.

It was absolutely beautiful being in St Louis for Autumn, a couple of years ago…it was an extended Autumn, unusually warm ,all of what you described before.I haven’t experienced a deep Winter, but you could really feel it in the air coming.

I lived in St Louis for four years while attending school, and the autumns were glorious. Winter was pretty bad there: one year, when the wind chill was factored in, it got down to -60ºF! Not pleasant. A couple of times during the full moon, the smog over the Mississippi River colored the moon a bright cherry red. That was quite a sight.

The coldest weather I’ve ever experienced was about -9 C …
-60F…😱

It was pretty awful. The wind was coming through our glass windows like they were made of lace. Hope I never go through that again!

Spring and autumn are nice. The weather is generally pleasant, and it isn’t too hot or too cold.

Spring is wonderful, but goes fast. Feels like a dream. I love the summer but eventually I get tired of the lack of rain, smog; the heat itself is not the problem; I swim - I am in the PNW so heat is not an issue. The first rains of autumn are so wonderful though. The fall seems to last longer than spring and is just as beautiful. Winter I just buckle down and get through - I do love the Christmas lights, stars at night. Most days to be honest are still quite beautiful, out hiking or walking. I can’t complain. Besides the winter soulstice just puts us back on track to the sun, around 12/21. Worst drag for me is usually late Dec-Jan, after the holidays; I hate the dark in the evening. Even into Feb, Mar. I just want the light and warmth and birds/flowers back so bad. I am loving this June - heavenly.
