Original Poster, did you mean people we’ve met in our own experience, or people we think would be if we met them? Because my next question - to the atheists/agnostics/UU/etc would be, have you ever met a sizeable body of Sufis/Jains/Sikhs to make such a judgement?
Because if it’s hypothetical, I’ll put up India as a friendlier place. No joke. From what I understand, Moslems, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, Jains, and others live side by side, and practise their faiths in friendliness and relative happiness and peace. Yes, there are sectarian conflicts, but there are plenty of happy people, too.
