Pope Benedict XVI...his lasting gift to us...his book

I checked this out from library about a week ago, but only started reading tonight.

Now on chapter 3. This may be a stay up all night reading kind of night.

On this thoughtful night about Pope Benedict as he resigned today…

Here I am finding such a gift he has given us titled Jesus of Nazareth…2007

“This book is my personal search for the face of the Lord”.

Thank you Holy Father. Thank you for entering into prayer for all of us, for the whole world.
 
Which one? There are three now. 😃

In addition to the one you just named (at least it sounds like the first one), the second one focuses on Holy Week(perfect for this time of year), and the third one focuses on the infancy narratives(just came out this last Advent).
 
I pray that Pope Benedict XVI has several more years left in him so he can enjoy a retirement devoted to scholarly prayerfulness and prolific writing. The man is an academician, and it seems fitting that he should be able to enjoy what he loves so much, and we will be blessed by more of his works.

OK, have to check whether those titles are available on Kindle!

My thoughts exactly. He has things to write for all the coming generations! Come Holy Spirit Come!

Three? I assume you mean the volumes on Jesus since I have a half dozen books written by the Pope (most as Cardinal Ratzinger). He was a prolific author on theology and the liturgy before he accepted the call to be Pope. The Spirit of the Liturgy, *Heart of the Christian Life, *and God is Near Us are three of my favorites.

I would have referred to the other books you just cited, but LoveMercyGrace specified “Jesus of Nazareth”.
 
Oh, thank you all for adding on….heart smiling…and to know there are more books

written by our Pope.

Well, he has been an even more prolific writer than I previously thought! I went to the Kindle store on Amazon and bought all three in the Jesus of Nazareth trilogy. There are four more pages of his books in the Kindle store, several more in the bookstore are listed.

Silly me! I was thinking of buying all his works on Kindle, only to find out that a few of his books weren’t formatted that way yet. And it would kill my food budget for a couple of weeks if I bought all of the available titles at one fell swoop! Nope, will have to pace it out a little.

Keep on writing, Holy Father!
