Pope Benedict XVI - Spirit of the liturgy

I need to research the “renewal of the renewal” and the “spirit of the liturgy” as spoken of by Pope Benedict XVI.

Any suggestions on where to start?

More conventionally, it’s “reform of the reform” rather than “renewal of the renewal.”

You can start with Spirit of the Liturgy by Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict. Yes, that is the name of one of his books!

Thanks. I have that book, but are there also any of his encyclicals I can refer to. My guess is that the “renewal of the renewal” is trying to get us back in line to what Vatican II intended with the liturgy.
