Pope Benedict's Books

[RayGIII]

Hello all. I am a recent Catholic convert who just entered the Church (along with my fiance) at the Easter Vigil Mass this year. I am also an avid reader and history buff who is interested in reading some of what Pope Emeritus Benedict wrote in order to further my understanding and knowledge of the faith. I was especially intrigued by his three part series Jesus of Nazareth and his work on Jesus and the Early Church. However , I thought I would come on here and ask if anyone who has read his work before might have any recommendations on what would be a good starting point? I value your suggestions and opinions and look forward to hearing what you all have to say. Thank you and God bless.

I would recommend Introduction to Christianity as a good starting place.

God bless,
Paul

I listened to the audiobook of Jesus of Nazareth: From the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration and loved it! Spirit of the Liturgy is on my list to read.

If you’re a history buff, you might enjoy Doctors of the Church, and The Fathers, Vol. I and II. I am currently reading them and enjoying them immensely!
