Pope Francis wished us all an extroverted Christmas. How do you think this will happen for you?
Merry Christmas in advance!

Source please. And I think there may have been a translation issue.

I just watched it live. I believe what he means is that rather than be focused on ourselves, we should be focused outwardly, on the care and concern for others. His homily was very powerful.

Sorry, I am a huge introvert.
I am too, but being such does not exclude on behaving in an extroverted fashion on occasion. In the USA where I live, if we are not “extroverted” about the reason for the season, it will get lost.

I had the devil of a time finding Jesus oriented wrapping paper, cards, gifts, and decorations. They have taken Christ out of Christmas!

Never seen Jesus wrapping paper. However we do have a Christmas decoration bought from a shop in from the Vatican 🙂

It is hard living in a secular society as I do. I am blessed to work in a Catholic school where it’s a faith environment I would find it very very hard otherwise. Northern England is a very godless place at times

Oh I could not agree more! This is exactly why our Holy Father must exhort us to be visible. The USA is quickly becoming a secular society, and there is much pressure here to hide one’s faith.

That surprises me the media impression is that the church is on every corner esp in the south

The media in the USA is very anti-Catholic, especially with the sexual abuse scandal erupting here. The Southeastern part of the US is largely Evangelical (Protestant) Christians who also have a very anti-Catholic background. They descend from those who fled here to escape Catholicism in Europe.

Yeah I think that’s what I’ve seen. The evangelicals. Bit weird for me from a non catholic background to realise this but England is very anti Catholic too because of Henry the 8th and the leftovers of a feudal mentality. The truth hurts and people will fight to avoid facing it
