Let us also pray for peace in Iraq and for the people of Iraq.

I hope His Holiness’s visit promotes greater tolerance between Muslims and Christians there.
 
Pope Francis had been saying he wanted to do this trip if conditions permitted. I hope he does.
 
No Pope has been to Iraq yet. But possibly at least one of the three Kings at Jesus’s birth came from Iraq and possibly St Thomas or St Jude or both converted pagans there. An important place in Christian history.
 
Good! I think this will send quite the message to the those who wish to do Christians harm there: We’re not afraid of you.
