We need more Pope Francis on this forum!! What an amazing man!! Let’s have a thread to post his tweets and talk about them! 😀

Today he tweeted:

“Where should we fix our gaze along the journey of #Lent? On the Crucifix. Jesus on the Cross is the compass of life that points us to Heaven.”

I think this is a great reminder for us all, as we are trying to reach our deserts during this Lent and understand what we need to work on, we can give it all to Jesus. We can put all our struggles, our anxieties, our stresses right on that cross 😀

Do not mock Pope Francis, he is the Vicar of Christ on Earth. @camoderator I am offended deeply by @Saxum’s post

You started this thread after several other posts on other threads complaining about people bashing Pope Francis. Then you wait till someone bashes him and jump all over that, judging his intentions. It’s not a terribly productive way to engage in discussion.

There has been too much bashing of Pope Francis on this forum and so I created a thread where we can talk about his tweets. How can anyone dislike his tweets? This is not the thread to complain about Pope Francis, that should be checked at the door. It was obvious this poster was sarcastic as they are highly critical of Pope Francis in other posts, not to mention the post is now deleted because it was rude.

Do we have anyone that actually wants to talk about his tweets?

Are you Seinfeld in disguise? You are cracking me up!😹

Okay, but I didn’t say anything about disliking his tweets. And it’s not up to you to decide what others might want to comment about things. If someone wishes to express disagreement, even with the Pope, it’s not for you to police it, save for flagging them. This isn’t a very mature way to engage in discussion.

”It is worthwhile to welcome every life because every man and woman is worth the blood of Christ himself. We cannot have contempt for what God has loved so much! #DayoftheUnbornChild”

What a wonderful reminder from the Pope that we don’t just protect and support life because life has dignity but also because we were bought by Christ Himself. Jesus bore it all on the cross for each person that has, is, and ever will live. What a message to remember as we attempt to evangelize to our fellow brothers and sisters
