I bet the Pope could say the whole Mass in Latin and most of our bishops “wouldn’t get it” not to mention our priests.

What we need is some kind of encylicall (I don’t know how to spell this) on the beauty of the Latin Mass and the universal use of this Mass everywhere. All countries could learn it then, and we wouldn’t have the splits we have now sometimes between the English Nor Mass and the Spanish one. If it’s Latin, everyone has to get familiar with it so its fair.

There was one. But we need a reinforcement of it to keep it alive at least.

I think seminary instruction in Latin is good.
Lay instruction in Latin included would be excellent.
This language will not survive if it is known only by priests.

The Latin was a lovely touch at Bellahouston. Though my pronunciation was a little off I think !
