Naturally it is up to God how many children I have.“Man plans, God laughs.”
I’m just curious. How do you know that people often misinterpret the Church’s stance on children as having as many of them as possible? I think thoughts like that are more likely to come from those who seem to compare themselves to those with large families. Maybe the truth is, regarding those with large families, that these parents know that they are imperfect beings but they take responsibility and accept all the babies that they have. There maybe be some as was mentioned on this thread of having intentions of having “eight” or however many children. Perhaps that is just their way of saying that they are open to and accepting life.Yes that is true.
Too often people often misinterpret the Church’s stance on children as having as many of them as possible. This is not the case, hence the Pope’s statement on the Church not requiring faithful Catholics to “breed like rabbits”.
Being open to life does not equate to breeding like rabbits.

I’ve found lifesitenews to be always bashing the Pope. I’ve stopped reading it.I really wish people would stop sharing lifesitenews like it’s gospel
It’s not always, and it’s not necessarily unjustified.I’ve found lifesitenews to be always bashing the Pope. I’ve stopped reading it.
lifesitenews is the Breitbart of Catholic media. Ultra-right-wing rad-trads who wear their tin foil hats a little too tightly.I’ve found lifesitenews to be always bashing the Pope. I’ve stopped reading it.
