lol. I see Krishna and our lord to be of the same spirit. Mind you there are cultural differences but that helped me. Our Lord’s words are first. I’m open minded and I hope not an apostate. 🙂
I would also hope so 😃

But it would in fact be a mistake to take the texts that present the teachings of Krishna and think that they are at the same level of the Gospels. It is just not so. Ultimately we deal with another religion. If there is anything in there that resembles the teachings of Christ and Christian Tradition, excellent 🙂 Like you said, though, ultimately the Lord’s words are first, and while all men have a soul created from God, Christ is God while Krishna would be considered a great man, but certainly for us it is unacceptable the idea of an incarnation (avatar) of God, since it does not go along with salvation as Scripture reveals it to us. That would not deny that his teachings, or some of his teachings, are good. I don’t even know anything about them, honestly, for I am very ignorant on the topic. All that means is that he isn’t God.

What does one do when he sees a beautiful woman? Cover his eyes and run off? Can a beautiful woman be acknwledged with a chaste life?

I am just trying to go by what the CCC says.
I think that Bishop Wojtyla’s writings would be an excellent supplement, as would his writings as Pope John Paul II.
I am reading that you just don’t fall into mortal sin without knowing it.
It is true that you cannot sin mortally without full knowledge and deliberate consent.
Trying to understand the ins and outs of lust kinda confuses me.
That’s one of the reasons I think Bishop Wojtyla’s Love & Responsibility would be a helpful resource. 🙂

Give thanks to God and love her for her own sake, as God loves her, rather than treating her as an instrument for one’s own pleasure.

Of course.

Straight Pornography==>Fetishism==>Homosexuality

The pornography is straight, Male(s) and Female(s) actors. Viewing porn tends to cause the viewer to empathizes with the male and his penis, making the sex organs of the same-sex actor into a fetish. The male viewer, for example, now has the penis as a fetish and seeks sexual gratification from penis, thus becoming a homosexual. At first, one masturbates while fantasizing with his newly created fetish. This does not happen all at once, but does while watching porn and masturbating over a period of time. Sooner or later the viewer becomes tired of just masturbating, and seeks a homosexual partner to act out upon his newly acquired fetish… The fetish need not necessarily be the genitals, but may include other parts of the body, such and the butt and anus.

Amazingly, evil spirits are at work at every step of the process, forever tempting the viewer to complete the process by leading the viewer to fetishism and homo erotic tendencies.
Dude, talk to a priest about concupiscence, vincible ignorance helps no one
What about his sex drive? Why not be celibate if you’re single?

Peace,
Ed

Especially with pornography. What one calls porn another doesn’t. I need to know what God says. Venial sin is said to be different. Catholic education may be a good site I will have to check it. Meanwhile for those who might be interested in doing what’s right anyway I found this page to be very helpful.

surasa.net/lust_vs_love.html

It seems to be a common thing among catholics to not be educated. I’ve also read that’s not an excuse for mortal sin. So I guess I’m trying to understand more than lust here with the porn issue but what exactly is a mortal sin too.
Get rid of the “eye candy”, no good can come of it

It is Prima facie until you get to the non sequitur.
And what’s wrong with personal experience using introspection.

I honestly do not know what you’re talking about in your above post; perhaps you can explain it in common English?

Latin must be a lawyer. Prima Facia. “On it’s face” Like facial evidence.

That porn can easily lead to homosexuality, if one masturbates, is obvious.
I talked to my Psychologist today and he is a Dr. PhD. and he said in an extreme circumstance maybe the phallus becomes a fetish and so on. What you say certainly is reasonable.

It goes against the gay agenda that psychologist and psychiatrist tend to automatically support (it’s in their training). I’m surprised your psychologist agreed a little.

Maybe because he knows I’m catholic and he was raised in the same parish I attend when he was younger. He doesn’t go anymore I guess.

Fetishisation of a penis through pornography and masturbation is understandable, it’s just classical conditioning. A penis fetish leading to homosexuality just doesn’t make sense through any known process. The transition doesn’t make sense because a fetish is a sexual desire for an object whereas homosexuality is the attraction to the same sex.

Fetishisation is well know so it is unsurprising.

Thank you for explaining your perspective. But after the penis become a fetish, Homosexual tendencies are just a step a way, as the target wants to incorporate the penis of another in sexual activity. It’s classical conditioning too.
