Hi, a lot of the members who prayed for my brother in-law back in 2012 aren’t around still, but there was an extended prayer intention for my brother in law. Tony had dreadful spine injuries following a serious accident, and has no feeling below the upper chest, pronounced quadriplegic.
Tony’s positive spirit never wavered, he changed not a bit though his life did radically. He learned to feed himself with hand that can’t feel, he gradually with never flagging therapy efforts, learned to take a few step with his wheeelie walker, though he has no idea how that happens, but mostly he sat in a wheelchair.

Tony now can actually walk sometimes without assistance. He’s a sunny natured person, and he did call on a special line that my family has, a biological connect to my country ‘s first Saint. I guess she learned that paralysis isn’t fun as the dear lady herself suffered from strokes before the end.

I’m recovering from surgery myself, and even though I may seem serious in CAF, in reality, with actual people, am not less without enthusiasm and a fairly immediate way through to people I encounter in reality, the staff and I had a lot of fun, and I got a lot of life stories, photos of family, and even photos of paintings done by a lovely dignified lady, nurse, who hasn’t shared her paintings with anyone other than her hubby, she only began paining four years ago, self taught, bu absolutely fantastic on several levels …

So this post is about facing things with positivity and cheerfulness, and persistence.
Tony didn’t give up, he never allowed depression to take him down, his mischievous spirit continued … it’s been four years, so Answers to prayers and hard work can take ‘too long” but never give up hope and never stop trying because miracles can happen
Love, Trishie

Thank you for your post! :hugs:

My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about 2 months ago. While at first it seemed tragic after watching how my mom has been dealing with it and how well she has been doing I’m realizing there’s no time for feeling sorry for her or myself. She believes it’s because of the outpouring of prayers (many of which were generated here on CAF)

So, once again, thank you, and let’s go forth joyfully! 😃

Tad, you brought tears to my eyes, with your beautiful sharing about your mother’s faith and inner beauty, and your own.

That illness is a huge challenge, for her, and for her family who loves her.
Our mother has such a deep place in our hearts, too

I’ll keep your mother in my daily prayers.
I wish there was a hug icon, but consider yourself and your mother hugged
