The Holy Father called in all the heads of the Roman Curia for a chat today.

I bet it’s the Motu Propria. So those of you desiring the freedom of the TLM may have something to celebrate very shortly.

Unless, as Uncle Di also suggested, the Holy Father wanted to talk about the weather.

Yay!

Meanwhile, today, being fortunate enough to live near a theater showing “Into Great Silence,” I was able to hear the rich sound of Carthusian monks chanting in Latin. 🙂

Meh, he’s probably talking about “the April Nor’easter”. Everybody around here is!!!

Thanks for the heads up JKirK, maybe the rumour of 16th April is true?

I’ll still believe it when I see it… 🙂

I do not see anything on that site that would suggest that is the reason for the meeting. I doubt it is the only thing on their minds.

It obviously wasn’t the 16th- that has passed. If there is to be a Motu Proprio, I doubt it will be announced on a major feast day. It will probably be announced on a date that is significant- but not liturgically- the anniversary of his election (April 19th- that’s tomorrow) is as good a guess as any.

May 5th - Pope St.Pius V in the Old Calendar.

You only wish 🙂 It matters not when it is announced, the only thing that matters is that it shall be announced.
