Would it then be right to vote for the pro-abortionist party?
No, of course, it would not be right. And who are you to decide that the people in this country have too many children?

They need a power plant, then cell phone towers and the one laptop per child program. At their rate of not being able to use their brains which leads to mining metal, it could take 5000 years if we don’t do it for them.

Eventually they will claim superiority when our children work alongside them, which is why we must fight gun control.

(Said nobody ever), people need to go Solar
→ One Laptop Per Child

Mass murdering kids is about as harmful to the common good as a government can get.

The left political party in power seems to be the best in helping the common good,
Please support your claim with evidence, since the rest of your post depends upon this claim.

even a sound opinion can and should be supported by an argument,
especially when you are making a thread on the topic.

I’m sure he would cite his sources but then again it’s ok to be different.

There are no easy answers. The most important thing is to never be charmed by politicians’ sweet talking regardless of left, right or centre. Things have to be considered case by case.

One must be careful in talking about the common good. It is a good and necessary principle, but politicians don’t always use the term honestly, because they operate with a flawed definition of good. Both of the major US political parties are guilty of this.

I suppose nobody got my sarcasm. We can do all we can, but it is up to them to build as a society. I once learned of a genius in Africa (forgot which country) who was like Edison but decided to play on a Radio station instead. They are capable, don’t be fooled! It’s just a question that always remains of “what can we do to help them, what does their area have for repairs if we build them something foreign” and some parts of the world are blowing the USA away in certain industries. Malaysia is at 500mbit/sec ISPs at home with timedotcom

Give a man a fish… Teach a man to fish…

Your drawing an invalid inference here.

Yes, there will be a (vanishingly small) number of genius intellects in Sub-Saharan Africa, but the fact is that the average IQ there is 70. They can be bettered, but it’s silly that to think that they’ll ever reach the standard of living that a country inhabited by Europeans or East Asians will.

The individual I am referring to had a knack for engineering and made a pretty interesting antenna linked to a solar panel to generate electricity to his device(s)

And yes, East Asia has some hidden intellectual treasures by far.

That’s all well and good, but having a few geniuses isn’t what keeps a society running well. For a society to run well, sufficient average intelligence is needed.

There actually is a type of government called a “Geniocracy” in theory. Pretty interesting.
