I posted a query about a monastic diurnal last night but it never appeared and was wondering why. The query was: Is anyone familiar with the Monastic Diurnal printed by St. Michael’s Abbey Press in Great Britain, in both English and Latin. The diurnal is a 1953 reprint. Is it a Catholic or Anglican breviary? I cannot find additional information on the information except the sketchy details on the St. Michael web site. Thanks in advance. Pax vobiscum.

Hi…I’ve not had any luck either although I have already ordered one. Dom Cuthbert at the Abbey told me that the MD can be used with a current Ordo because that’s the way they are doing it. Since he know I am Catholic and the translation is from the Vulgate (while the Anglican Breviary is not) I’m assuming the MD is Catholic or so close it won’t matter. I hope. I started this Yahoo group just today maybe we can get some info there.

Hope to see you there!
