Poverty and Child Development - Help With Assignment

Hello everyone,

My younger sibling in high school is doing an essay on child development and poverty for a sociology/religion class. Part of this assignment requires him to do interviews/surveys. I checked the guidelines for the forum and I couldn’t find anything discouraging this… hopefully it is okay! The responses would all be anonymous and wouldn’t be used for any professional publication, just my brother’s high school essay.

I’m posting for him so he can get more responses - He doesn’t really use any social media like facebook so it’s hard for him to reach out to get survey responses. I figure people on Catholic Answers like answering questions so maybe some of you would like to help him out

Is it a requirement to have grown up in poverty, since it’s a development and poverty assignment?

Good question … No, you can be any income level. There are options for choosing that you grew up average, wealthy, etc. I don’t think any of the questions are ‘required’, so if something doesn’t apply you can skip it.
