Power of reflection

As humans we have been given the power of reflection.

Do you think this is a curse or positive?

Everything the Lord gave us can be used for good or evil.

With the power of His grace to help us, the gift of being able to reflect is very positive!

I think knowing oneself is a curse if it is knowledge without hope. Most people don’t like what they see when they consider what they’d rather be–more loving, like Christ. Add hope to this self-knowledge and here is an expectation that God will make a way for one to become what she is not. The curse then becomes a blessing. That’s really the whole purpose of God’s grace. Don’t you think?
