Hi Everyone,

I was wondering what prayers do you all read daily to help you get through your days and that have helped you to overcome obstacles, hardships, troubles, problems, and difficult life matters/situations and particular miracles/intentions to happen? Prayers that you all can never miss a day praying.

Just recently I have been praying the holy rosary, Rosary Novenas to Our Lady, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I used to pray various novenas, but decided to stick to those three only.

Also I have noticed that some people pray protection prayers daily such as the St. Michael prayer or any others. Is it important to include protection prayers to protect oneself from evil? There are times when I feel that I am being attacked, but I try to think positive and don’t mind it.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Daily Mass, for starters, preferably an Old Latin Mass if you can find one. I’ve found the Latin Mass to exceptionally powerful in overcoming obstacles, etc.

The Rosary said in Latin, for second. The Devil hates Latin, so a Rosary said in Latin is exceptionally helpful.

The Divine Office, for third. Start with the Liturgy of the Hours or the shorter version called Christian Prayer.

Another prayer book you might find helpful is called The Raccolta. It contains all of the official prayers of the Church, and it is a treasure. I have a hard copy in red leather and it is a wonderful prayer book.

Lastly, pick up a Roman Missal. I use the St. Andrew’s Daily Missal for the Latin Mass, and it is amazing with excellent commentaries for every Mass for the year. There is also a standard Roman Missal for the New Mass (Novus Ordo Mass, post-Vatican II) as well.

For me it is the Liturgy of the Hours (the current 4-week one) but chanted in Latin Gregorian chant.

I wouldn’t call it “miraculous” in the sense of “magic” though, which would be superstition. It just provides me with the spiritual food that I increasingly require to navigate the shoals of life. I have found that on days when I’m really down, and when I can barely drag myself to my small oratory to pray the hours… well it’s on those days that something from a psalm, a reading or a beautiful chant really jumps out and grabs me and pulls me out of my torpor.

the Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots in times of desperate need.

But any prayer, said reverently and with great love will be of untold help to anyone.
Part of good having a good prayer life is to realize that God has it all in hand, even when we don’t necessarily think so or immediately feel it.

God bless. Pray always, worry less.

Thank you for telling us about The Raccolta (well, those of us who didn’t know about it :)). I have just found the hardback in an online Catholic store here in the UK and have bought a copy.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful and excellent replies. I will keep all your suggestions in mind. I truly and deeply appreciate it!!! God Bless you all.

I’m not one to look for “miraculous” prayers – I mean, ALL prayers are miraculous! I am communicating with the Creator and King of the Universe – and He listens AND speaks with me…ME!!! :extrahappy:

I love the Novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. It reminds me that I have a wonderful help in our Blessed Mother, especially when I’m feeling lost in the mess I’ve made of my life.

But we shouldn’t be quick to forget the Our Father. This prayer was given to us from the very mouth of Our Lord when His friends asked Him how to pray. Seems pretty durn miraculous to me 😃

God bless you!

Mornings: usually on my drives to work I say 5 Our Fathers, 5 Hail Marys, 5 Glory be’s, 4 prayers for baby’s in danger of abortion, 3 Saint Michael prayers, 3 spiritual Communions for me and 3 for my son who is a baby, 3 Saint Joseph Novenas, 1 morning offering with the brown scapular indulgence, 10 Hail Marys for family and friends who have passed, 10 Hail Marys for all of my family, friends, and people I’ve given the brown scapular to for their conversion or reconversion to the Catholic faith, and 20 prayers that release 1,000 souls from purgatory each time it is said (20,000 souls).

Evenings: I say the Rosary, the 15 Saint Bridget prayers, the short way of the Cross, a prayer that was found on the tomb of Our Lord in 1505 and Emporer Charles received it from the Pope as a gift when he was going into battle(there are some pretty strong promises attached to this one prayer), and pretty much almost every prayer in the Pieta book. The total time it takes throughout the whole day is probably about two hours. We can all be demon slayers… Through prayer we do this amongst many other things that we can’t see in the spiritual realm… God Bless.
