I agree, skirts are more comfortable than regular jeans. I am currently expecting, so I’ve been wearing some stretch fine wale cord pants, that don’t make that annoying “scritch” sound. For skirts, I wear mid calf to ankle length, even though I’m 5’ 3". My favorite is an elastic waist ankle length cotton floral (black background with all sorts of little flowers) with hidden side pockets. I like to pair skirts with a slightly shaped button up shirt, and a camisol underneat just in case it gaps. Of course stretch and one size larger solves that problem. I especially love the new empire waist style of blouses that give shape without looking frumpy or immodest. I also dislike nylons, so I wear leggings for warmth with a nylon slip so my skirt doesn’t stick to my legs. For shoes I pair them with some clogs or fisherman style closed toe leather shoes I have. Ballet flats seem to be the style now, but would look best with a just below knee length skirt. Hanna Anderson has womens size tights, but are about 12$ a pair I think. I love corduroy and might look into getting one this season to fit my expanding belly and still make me look slim. Jumpers seem to look frumpy on me, so I only wear them for around the house. I’d love some fancy looking waterproof boots too, so send me any links that are not too expensively priced. Uggs are warm, but clunky (my mom has a pair that I tried on once).
Congrats!!! Have you checked out Expressiva and Majamas for lovely Mama clothes? They seem very focused on providing fashionable functional clothes for expecting Mamas and BF-ing Mamas.

I have a brown lace skirt, cream lace skirt. The brown one’s lining is short, so I have to wear shorts or tights underneath. For the cream one, the lining is thin, so I have to wear an additional slip.
I also have a khaki skirt with embroidery and sequins that comes to my knees, a dark brown jersey one, three linen skirts with embroidery - they’re gorgeous, and a green brightly printed knee length skirt, also one of my favorites. Wearing longer skirts is definitely more comfortable.

But I’m really concerned with something warm to where everyday…maybe clogs? with Tights? I don’t know…I’m researching because I’m new to the want to wear skirts more scene, LOL…I’m really trying to become more modest…
I love my Dansko clogs. Right now I have three pairs as well as a pair of their sandals. I just ordered this pair and got them last week. Super comfy, and really cute. I don’t generally wear skirts as I’m not comfortable with the male attention I get when wearing them, but there’s a girl in my building who does wear knee-length skirts every day and wears these shoes with tights. It’s a cute look.

I really want a pair of these but I know they aren’t practical for snowy Michigan winters. 😦

I got a pair of Dansko’s…these (using the same site as you linked)…I did try them on with my denim skirt and some knee high trouser socks and surprisingly, they looked good…I may just get a black pair …

They are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have.

I think that I can pull off the knee length, tights and clog look…
