Due to my current situation (relocated to a different state from my pregnant wife and 3 children for work) I have been reflecting on how difficult this is on all of us and came upon this song by Casting Crowns:
I have rediscovered my prayer life and have been able to make it to adoration about 2 or 3 times a week. I have been able to read the bible more, as Fr. Larry Richards says “no bible no breakfast, no bible no bed.” I am not a very patient person and was slapped in the face with 1 Corinthians Ch 13 “Love is patient, love is kind.”
Things are still tough and I feel as if the rain is still pouring and the wind is crashing, doing my best to make it through. Knowing that my wife is such a strong and amazing woman eases my mind. She can handle so much, she should not have to, I should be there to help her, but she does it, it is not easy, but she does it.
I was sure by now,
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away,
And stepped in and saved the day
Once again, I say Amen, and it is still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear you whisper through the rain
I’m with you
As your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I was just curious if anyone else has weathered a storm and how they did that? What was it that kept you going during that difficult time?I’ll Praise you in this storm
And I will lift my hands
You are who you are
No matter where I am
And every tear I’ve cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will Praise You in this storm
