I hate to ask…as I have already asked for prayers for my employment sitution, but I’m desperate. Please pray for my husband. He has been in chronic pain for about fifteen years, and although he has great pain tolerance, he has finally come to his limit. I have been married to him now for two years, known him for seven and never seen him this bad. He is crying he is in so much pain. 😦 And the worse part of it is he actually is feeling guilty, saying he’s being unfair to me. I don’t understand that because I knew of his pain issues before we got married, so its not like I didn’t know what I was getting in for. I so badly want him to experience just one day pain free, but if he could just find the right medication to control it so it is at least tolerable it would make a huge difference in his life. Please pray for him and thanks in advance to everyone. And thanks for letting me vent. Oh and does anyone know the patron saint of chronic pain and a Novena?

Hope it helps. Praying for your dear husband.:gopray2:

Please don’t ever feel you can’t ask… we are here for you and would be more than glad to pray for your husband! I will add him to my prayers, and yourself.

Patron Saint of Chronic Pain is said to be St Madron/Medran. Can’t find any novenas for him, but some good novenas that can be prayed are those to St Jude, St Anthony, and the Divine Mercy. And I’m sure others may have suggestions that worked for them.

Bless you,

:signofcross:

Saint Bernadette of Lourdes, Saint Catherine of Siena for bodily ills, illness, sick people, and sickness.

Father, you know the pain that this man suffers. We ask you to ease his suffering Lord. We ask that his pain weaken. We your humble servants ask this in Jesus name… AMEN

You and your husband are in my prayers and will be in my intentions at mass tomorrow.

This must be an overwhelmingly stressful time for you to say the least…
…I see that others have given you some patron saints - I will keep you in my own prayers with St. Rita of Cascia, an exemplary wife and mother and religious and patron of desperate causes.

Thank you to everyone for all your prayers. My husband finally saw his doctor today and his medication has been increased considerably. Hopefully this will help. He is already looking better, not nearly as pale as he was earlier this week. Again thanks to everyone, you don’t know what your prayers meant at this stressful time in our lives.
