Please pray for Joan who has entered hospice and is dying of lung cancer.

“O God of all hope, whatever happens during this day is in Your hands. Strengthen Joan in her weakness, give skill to those who minister to her, and grant her confidence and faith in Your healing power. Fill Joan with your gentle peace, and grant her an easy death when that time comes. God, we thank you that you never leave us, that you never forsake us, but you love us. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord We pray. Amen.

Isaiah 43:1-3 Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
 
Praying for Joan as she prepares for her last days. May she find peace and draw close to God.

Please fill her soul with the peace of deep unity with Your love and goodness.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal ( Joan). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Joan’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Joan, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
