Last night at Mass, sister Mary Andrew of the Medical Missionaires of Mary asked for our prayers for the success of their efforts in Africa. Africa has been devastated by AIDS and many children are being orphaned by this. There are 10 year olds caring for their younger siblings.

I pray for strength and fortitude for the Medical Missionaries of Mary that they may care for those ravaged by AIDS, most especially for the children orphaned by this scourge. Lord, may you inspire many people to answer your call to serve You in serving our neighbours in need.
