Please pray for my friend who will be in this debate tomarrow.

Thanks

Steve

From my Friend:

I’m seeking (pleading) for prayers on this intention…
I am debating Planned Parenthood Thursday 4/24 from 9am - 10:30am
before 125 public schooled kids and (? #) teachers

I will have 15 min to present my side and PP will have the same
A coin will be tossed at the beginning of the program to determine who goes 1st.
I want to go 2nd so I can address (destroy) some of the points stated by PP
Then there will be 1 hour of questions.

Please pray that I think sharply and can respond confidently. Pray that I am peacefilled, inside and out. The woman that did this program last year (pro-life) said she would never go back because the students were so verbally abusive to her, she left in tears. I would prefer that this not happen to me…

Thanks for your prayers, I know I can count on you!

praying for you for this very important undertaking. I ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in all your words, and your guardian angel to assist you.

Canticle
Magnificat

My soul rejoices in the Lord
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God, my salvation.
For he has shown me such favour –
me, his lowly handmaiden.
Now all generations will call me blessed,
because the mighty one has done great things for me.
His name is holy,
his mercy lasts for generation after generation
for those who revere him.

He has put forth his strength:
he has scattered the proud and conceited,
torn princes from their thrones;
but lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel,
he has remembered his mercy as he promised to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Praying for you and this cause.

Though I walk in the valley of darkness, I fear no evil…

btw Steve, Blessings for your birthday. You have the same birthday as my son and Mother Angelica.

Praying for you, Steve. God bless you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Praying for the Holy Spirit to give your friend wisdom, understanding, knowledge, courage and peace of mind! God bless him for his efforts in this very important area!

Thank you for the prayers. Here are some hightlights from my friend who had the debate:

FROM MY FRIEND:

Wow! I am so humbled by your support…I was really scared about this one. I was able to access my Email before the debate and was certainly empowered by your support. I am so grateful, thank you.

There was no coin toss…I was asked to present 1st…and so I did. I had a portion of the talk where I spoke candidly about what women say before and after abortion, during this part of the talk all of a sudden there was a lot of comosion on the left side of the auditorium that got everyone’s attention. Two girls had fainted. I kept talking through out all the fuss as one was wheeled out and the other was carried. PP brought 3 representatives. The moderator asked if I wanted to have 1 step out, and I said no. They each took turns speaking and while I wish I could recount everything, I will tell you just a couple of highlights. …
…one PP rep described a very difficult situation a friend of hers had recently where she found out her baby had no spine. She and her husband agonized over the decision to abort, but what person in their right mind would want to put a child through that? She went into more emotional details, when she was done, I addressed the audience and said, I believe she is talking about Spina Bifida and then I explained that condition and
how I was quite sure that if a baby was born without a spine it would make int’l news. I then described the wonderful couple and family I know who chose life for their beautiful baby, she had surgery soon after birth and today miraculously walks with braces and continues to improve and baffle doctors. Then I emplored them to never take one opinion on any serious medical condition and certainly educate themselves with a condition so that they are totally informed before making such a serious ‘choice’. Immediatly after I finished a young pretty girl asked the pro-choice group…“if you had an accident and your toddler was paralized would you kill it?” WOW! They spurtered and putted and talked some silly nonsense about choice…

On the funny side, the moderator stopped and motioned to the PP table to answer a question that had been asked…they asked ‘what question?’ and the moderator said “That girl down there, the one you brought with you!” HA, they had plants throughout the audience.

Basically it was a respectable debat, the group seemed pretty much 1/2 and 1/2 on the issue, I think actually there was a little more pro-life support…maybe they just felt sorry for me. I’m glad it’s over. Sorry this is so long, thanks again for your prayers and well wishes, I know I couldn’t have done it without your support.
God bless,

God bless you for your courage. I’m sure Our Lord is smiling on you for what you did…and I don’t think they felt sorry for you, I think they respected you for telling the truth. 👍
