Just one point: despite the “reprieve” under the Baath regime (and again I’ll mention Tariq Aziz as a major facilitator in that), native Christians in what is now Iraq were not exempt from servitude/persecution under Arab and Ottoman domination. Not in Iraq. It is understood that this community was fairly well protected under the prior regime. Now, they are not. Are we not in agreement?
And yes, they are now part of that not so exclusive group of historically persecuted Christians in the Middle East. We pray for ALL of them!
Yes, I know.P.S. We’re on the same side, my friend!
