I had what I thought was a ganglion cyst on my heel so I tried to smash it myself (I looked it up on the internet). When it became worse, instead of better, I saw a podiatrist who told me it’s not even a ganglion cyst but a herniation from the fat pad located in that part of the foot. The treatment for such a thing is to leave well enough alone but because I was so stupid, it’s possible that I have made the herniation worse and may have permanently damaged the nerves (causing tingling, etc.) and capillaries. Please pray that I didn’t cause permanent damage and that it heals. Please pray that I stop being so stupid. Thank you!!! ~Therese

First of all I am not going to pray that you stop being so stupid. Unintended consequences happen to all of us. Some of the time they are no big deal. Some of the time they are. I will pray for your heel and for your peace of mind. (I have eight children, you should hear about some of my blunders)

Our Father,Who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, it is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

Peace be with you sister.

After I fractured my hip (and like you, felt worse about it because I had aided in my own pain- but don’t ever think you’re “stupid” for attempting to solve your own problem) this became my favorite prayer:

“Jesus, Master Physician of all times, Your Divinity did not require a Ph.D. Eagerly, You resurrected the dead, Restoring the health of the sick. Be it physical or spiritual torment, None were a great obstacle to You: For Your loving power is omnipotent. I ask for Your abounding healing love; Maintain my body and soul vigorous So I may fulfill my daily functions. The world will be conquered by You, All afflictions will be dissipated!”

Lord, please heal your child of her painful heel, and let the damage that has been done be not of the permanent type. Please grant her the opportunity to walk your path without pain, and the perserverence to patiently await the resolution of her physical injury.

Praying for you, thereseozi. Heel pain is horrible. I know, I have my share of it. Lately it’s been pretty good though. God bless!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Dear thereseozi,

Don’t even feel bad about what you did. I fractured three toes by tripping over a telephone cord. Instead of getting immediate medical attention, I went to bed, got up the next day, and drove on my bad foot to the Smoky Mountains on vacation, knowing that if I’d seen a doctor he would have told me to cancel the trip! (Those who would like to consider me foolish for such a thing may do so and I will not be offended.)

Meanwhile, you thought you were doing the right thing.

Praying for your healing!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Praying for a fast recovery without permanent damage.

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.

Wow, I’ve been having excruciating heel pain, and perhaps your experience just helped me figure out what it could be!

I pray you’ll be fine!

Not stupid Therese! Just a warning to all of us not to presume regarding what is wrong. I’m soory you’re is such pain. I hope that other things have improved. Jesus please give comfort to Therese…and please giving healing to that poor bashed heel! Love, Trishie

Praying for your complete recovery. Don’t be so hard on yourself, we all do some things we regret later on. It’s part of being human!

Therese, I’m so sorry to hear of your suffering. I’m praying for you now…and …you are not stupid, just human.
