Hey guys,
I think this morning I committed the sin of presumption by willfully doing something that is usually a gateway to the sin of wasting time (for some people this is merely venial but for me it is a ruinously habitual sin that has practically ruined my life). When I asked for forgiveness later, I felt that I was guilty of presumption, thinking I could immediately be restored and treating God like a gumball machine.
I wanted to ask if all of you could pray for me, that I would converted back to a state of friendship with God.
I am currently in RCIA, and am not allowed to go to confession yet. I am not complaining, but since I can’t go there yet, I wanted to ask for your prayer, that I might be granted true repentance from this.

I thank you all, and may the peace of God be with you.

O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in you.

Jesus, deluge us in Your endless sea of mercy, letting us know that no matter how grave the sin, the depths of our depravity, Your Mercy is greater and everlasting.

Respectfully suggest that you focus less upon "sins"and more upon the love of Our Blessed Lord, who is always beside you, loves you unreservedly as His child and never turns away from you. Trust Him and listen to Him in your heart as He guides you closer to Himself.
Your Faith is a gift from God - rejoice in it.
God bless you 🙂

Praying for your intentions.

Just a thought… Even though the confessional isn’t an option for you at the moment, you can still schedule some time with one of the priests in your parish, especially if it will help you find some peace.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen. :signofcross:

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen. :signofcross:

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Remember, O most loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession and was left forsaken. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, a sorrowful sinner. Despise not my words, O Mother of the Word, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen

I went trough the same feelings as you do now last autumn as I went trough RCIA and learned about the faith without any opportunity to go to confession.
It can be very stressful at times thats for certain, but hang in there and try to trust in the Lords mercy and keep in mind that God knows that youre prohibited from confession.

As Emily so vicely said it in her post:

You and everyone going trough RCIA are in my prayers.
Lord have mercy.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy Mercy.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate heart of Mary, pray for us.
St. Joseph our protector, pray for us.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have Mercy on us sinners.
