Prayer for courage when doubt strikes

Lord, I doubt myself at times and sit now, too early this early morning, worrying about the future. In this moment I approach You now in thanksgiving for what I have and ask Your help for those who have much less. Lord, grant me and those of us prone to doubt the courage of living in Your light and strength. And, may I be an aid to others in similar circumstances. Amen.

Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Dear God, give me courage,

for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats

and against their seductions.

I need courage to bear unkindness,

mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,

against terrors and troubles, temptations,

attractions, darkness and false lights,

against tears, depression, and above all fear.

I need Your help, dear God.

Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.

Console me with Your blessed Presence

and grant me the courage to persevere

until I am with You forever in heaven.

Amen.
