I need your prayers. I have been in a relationship for some time now (several years) and I need your help in prayer for the discernment of the next step. I love this girl, but I have fears. Please help.

Phil, I will pray for you the best I can.
I ask Jesus to help you sort out whether any reservations you have are justified. If you are just nervous about such a big life-commitment, I ask God to give you all the graces you need for a happy, faithful marriage. If you are concerned about anything to do with the nature or whatever of your girlfriend I ask Jesus to help you honestly discern whether it is wise and workable for you to marry her. Fears can be good warnings, just as pain can be a warning to withdraw one’s hand form a heat source…so I ask You, Jesus, to help Phil sort out whether his fears are warnings, or natural nervousness.
Jesus please give Your attention and love and grace to Phil’s question and the issues in his life and nature and beliefs, and in the life and nature beliefs of the girl he loves.

In all confidence Phil opens his heart to thee, to beg thy guidance and assistance in the important task of planning his future. Obtain for him, through thy intercession the light of God’s grace, so that he may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be his partner through life. O Angel of Happy Meetings, lead Phil by the hand to find each other. May all their movements be guided by thy light and transfigured by thy joy.
