Please pray for me and my wife, that our marriage may be healed. I recently found out that she is using the internet to talk to and meet other men. I am devastated.

😦

I am praying for you and your wife. Please be prayerful as well through this difficult time in your marriage. If you think you can, ask your wife to pray with you.

I will be praying for you. May I also suggest you check out Retrouvaille, it is a program that provides healing for troubled marriages. See link in my sig. God bless you both.

Scott,

I too will pray for you. I have been where you are. I know that feeling. Retrouvaille saved my marriage. I suggest you go.

My wife did similar things. Through counseling with priests and therapists my wife shared her past sexual abuse and rape. The acting out was a result of those experiences. Unfortunately, that is a very common result of childhood sexual abuse.

I’m not saying your wife experienced anything like that but there may be reasons she did those things.

I would ask her to see your priest together immediately.

If I can be any help just ask.

Brian

Will pray to the Holy Family. I hope God can bring peace back to your home.

May Our Lady touch her heart.

I am so sorry. 😦 I know it must hurt. Please hang in there. God bless you both!

Maybe you need to talk to someone trustworthy about this, a priest/pastor/minister would be best. If not, maybe an experienced counselor. It might be helpful to have a trusted third party involved. Just a suggestion though.

You are in my prayers! :gopray2:

I want to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers.

I know that we have both been hurt, but I am willing to do whatever I can to heal our family and lead it the way the Lord wants fathers to do. We also have a young son, Christian, and I want him to grow up with both of his parents.

Please pray for us.

:gopray2: I am still praying for all of you. You sound like a wonderful husband and father. God bless you for trying to do the right thing and for trying to keep your family together. 🙂

If you would like more people to talk to, you can start a support thread here in the Family Life section. We can’t offer much advice in the prayer thread. I am sure there are others who have been in or are in similar situations. You can join in on their discussions, or make your own. Here’s the link: forums.catholic-questions.org/forumdisplay.php?f=12

God bless you! :signofcross:

I’ll pray for you. I just added you to my regular prayer list for at Masses. And I second Retrouvaille when the time comes (maybe not immediately now, in the thick of things). Praying the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet helped me through a long dark night. I think that was two years or three of being numb all the time. Now I see other people who are numb from a tragedy they are living through and my eyes are opened to the pain that seemingly normal people can be living as they go about their daily lives.

Satan likes to get to the woman and tempt them in order to break up families. But I also think women respond to God’s graces quickly and in that there is hope.

Do entreat Mary and Joseph to pray for your family! They have been so efficacious in helping me.

Suggestion…find out why she is posting to other men…talk to each other and then pray together…if you haven’t, you both need to read the Bible and God’s laws about marriage…His rule’s, not ours. You may want to start with a good understanding of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. My wife and I were together for 35 years…divorced 3 years ago. She left me, I know why…we got away from God’s words…fight to save your marriage.

I am so sorry about this painful experience for you and your young family. We will definitely pray for healing and guidance for all.

It just seems like the tools in our own homes makes it too easy to be tempted to use them for dangerous behavior. I pray you can find some way to remove the temptation and heal your love and trust in each other. Good luck and God bless you both.

I will fight and I will continue to pray! But because of a specific incident that happened, I can no longer believe that my wife is telling me the truth.

I am so confused, and I am thankful for the recommendation about the forum, but I would like someone who has good advice to contact me on yahoo if they can.

thank you.
Scott

O the pain… I understand what your heart must feel. I am suffering too in my marriage. TRUST it is the cement of love and it hurts deeply when it breaks. What can we do but give our trust to God. I will be praying for you Scott and I ask for yours. Please Lord… hear us!
