I would like to ask for prayers regarding what seems to be the onset of spiritual dryness. Just recently God has ramped up his calls for me to return whole-heartedly to the faith, and I did so, but like I always do, I “burn myself out” with great manic-like enthusiasm that quickly runs dry. Now I am unmotivated and have less interest in anything, secular or religious. Please pray for me, that I may be sustained in my faith and love for God.

I also ask prayers for an abatement of my chronic pain, and OCD that makes me often fall into despair, especially in regards to obsessing over a minor deformity I have. It seems to be an obstacle distracting me from the meaningful things in life. I likewise ask for prayers along with the intercession of Padre Pio to overcome a nicotine addiction.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Shalom, Don!

I had prayed for your intentions.

Pray always, no matter how poorly, and do not be disturbed by anything. Be happy in spirit and at peace, for prayer will direct your life and give you understanding.

“To make an effort to pray is in our power, but to pray purely is a gift of grace.” And so offer to GOD what is in your power. Begin by bringing to GOD a sacrifice of constancy in prayer, and GOD’s almighty power will swallow your weakness. Your dry and distracted but frequent prayer will become a habit and second nature. Your prayer will be made pure, fervent, and powerful. (The Way of a Pilgrim)

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

I pray that God grants you a more intimate relationship with Him and that He makes it easier for you to draw near to Him. I also pray that He relieves you of chronic pain, OCD and the nicotine addiction. Amen.
