Hi everyone. Please join me in thanksgiving. Three months ago our parish priest disappeared. He had become severely depressed, walked away from his parish, and nobody knew where he was. He was found safe back with his family and is receiving the help he needs. Thank you Lord for Father’s safety. Our newly assigned parish priest begins tomorrow. Thank you Lord for that as well.

Thank you Jesus for protecting this poor priest and guiding him to safety. Please heal him and assure him of your love.
Thank you also for sending EricF’s parish a new priest to minister to their needs. Strengthen him and help him persevere in his tasks.
Jesus, I pray also in your name for vocations so we will have enough priests to go around and so that none of them get too overwhelmed and they can take breaks when their health requires it.
Amen.

Very on-point. Thank you. Our parish seems to be hard on priests.

Prayer for Priests

O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear our prayers
on behalf of Your priests. Give them a deep faith,
a bright and firm hope, and a burning love which
will ever increase during their priestly lives.

In their loneliness, comfort them; and in their
sorrows, strengthen them. When they are
frustrated, remind them that suffering purifies
the soul. Show them that they are needed by
the Church; they are needed by souls; and they
are needed for the work of redemption.

O loving Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests,
take to Your heart Your sons who are close to You
because of their priestly ordinations, and because
of the power which they have received to carry on
the work of Christ in a world which needs them so
much.

Be their comfort, their joy, and their strength. Help
them to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated
celibacy. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer Against Depression

………….By St Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus

When all is darkness

And we feel our weakness and helplessness,

Give us the sense of Your Presence,

Your Love and Your Strength.

Help us to have perfect trust

In Your protecting love

And strengthening power,

So that nothing may frighten or worry us,

For, living close to You,

We shall see Your Hand,

Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on Eric. Lord, hear my prayer of Thanksgiving for his intentions and have mercy on the whole world. (x10)

I did pray a decade of my daily Divine Mercy Chaplet for your intention.

For your parish and the mental health of all clergy…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Amen!
