I want this advent to be a time of increased prayer and almsgiving. However, I find myself praying less due to intense schooling, I try to aim for at least 20 mins a day but I hope to do more. So can someone recommend a “Prayer Schedule” for advent? I think that maybe this would help me. Also, I seem to be particularly fond of Marian devotions like the rosary, The Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mary, Undoer of Knots novena, etc.

My girlfriend and I are going to daily mass for advent. We go sometimes during the year but not regularly

Firstly, as a university student I completely understand how finding time is such an issue, especially since I study English (you can imagine the reading required). Firstly, it’s not about clocking up a certain amount of time. Yesterday, I saw a post that was starkly true - “There’s a difference between saying a prayer and praying”. If time if is genuinely a pressing issue, then God will not hold this against you; its about quality over quantity. Personally for me, I try to incorporate morning prayers, night prayers, and graces before meals as my “bare minimum”. This may or may not work for you; for me, variety is important. I personally try to alternate between the four kinds of prayer (Ephesians 6:18 may be helpful here). Hopefully this helps you a bit. Also, I’ve never heard of the devotion to the little office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, what exactly is that? Kind regards
