Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I have fallen back into the sin of internet pornography and self-stimulation. It has gotten to the point where I feel addicted. I need your help. I have been going to confession, but I could also use your added prayer support. I don’t want to get entangled in the tricks of the devil, especially considering I am getting married in July.

May God bless you all,

Dan

When you get the urge, turn to something else. The Bible, the Rosary, go for a walk, call a friend just to talk, start a new hobby…anything to take your mind off of it. Take it one day at a time. If you fall, confess your sin and get right back to work on it. Don’t dwell on your past sins, tomorrow is a new day.

Good luck and God Bless

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptation.

**Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our defence against the wickedness and snares
of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the
power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other
evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen. **

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular dsully, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

A Prayer for Those Suffering Pornography Addiction

Jesus, Lover of chastity,
Mary, Mother most pure,
and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin,
to you I ask at this hour,
begging you to plead with God for me.
I earnestly wish to be pure in thought,
word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity.

Obtain for me, then, a deep sense of modesty
which will be reflected in my external conduct.
Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul,
from anything that might dim the luster of a heart
that must mirror only Christlike purity.

And when the “Bread of Angels” becomes
the “Bread of Me” in my heart at Holy Communion,
seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.

Heart of Jesus, Fount of All Purity,
have mercy on us.

Jesus, I offer this intention to Your most Sacred Heart

Our father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary full of grace
The Lord is with you
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and in the hour of our death
Amen.

Eternal Father in whom mercy is endless
And treasury of compassion inexhaustible
Look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us
so that in difficult moments
we may not despair
nor become despondent
but with great confidence
submit ourselves to Your holy will
Which is love and mercy itself.
Amen.
