Prayer to Avoid the Occasion of Sin

Dear Lord,
We pray that married people will avoid Web sites that encourage and facilitate adultery. May they always remember their vows to their spouses and seek spiritual guidance before they act out on any unchaste thoughts. Amen.

A Marriage Blessing Prayer

We thank you, O God, for the Love You have implanted in our hearts. May it always inspire us to be kind in our words, considerate of feeling, and concerned for each other’s needs and wishes. Help us to be understanding and forgiving of human weaknesses and failings. Increase our faith and trust in You and may Your Prudence guide our life and love. Bless our Marriage O God, with Peace and Happiness, and make our love fruitful for Your glory and our Joy both here and in eternity.

Lord, please grant all married couples many graces for faith, hope, love, courage, fortitude, and wisdom. See that they are protected by holy angels, that the temptations of adultery websites and other vices which prey on them and their vocation be ever averted, that these married souls remain steadfast and courageous on the pathway to heaven. Convert the hearts of those who market and support such websites, that their hearts be moved and their resolve capacitated to destroy that which leads souls astray. Set their conversions as a great light of your love and truth to the world. Stabilize and embolden marriages everywhere, that your sacrament be revered by all, and that its character be unmarred even for those who will in the future receive the graces from the marital sacrament. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
