During the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, when the previously stellar career and integrity of a good man were besmirched in the 11th hour by a coordinated political attack (read Justice on Trial), I felt “triggered,” myself, as those who borrow from PTSD like to say. God bless and be with you, Judge Kavanaugh, your wife Ashley, your children and family. I had had a similar experience in years leading to my eventual divorce.

Lord, You know the hearts of those who follow You, faithfully, and those who don’t. That is enough.

In marriage annulment proceedings, I recently confirmed the potential depths of false witness in accusations made towards me. By which, it seems, my children have been estranged from me. This was finally confirmed by one in a Father’s Day message.

Lord, You withstood those breaking the 8th Commandment against You. If I be put on trial before my children, may Your Holy Spirit provide the words of truth which reconcile without malice toward my accuser. Lord Jesus, You know the depth of faith which seeks forgiveness for my known sinfulness; protect me from the falsehoods hurled against me, and help me speak truth to overcome their effects.

Your cross of sacrificial love, always before us in times of trial, my Lord, our Savior, be with us when we bear our crosses. Forgive those who persecute us,. Amen.

Dear Jesus, please allow justice to prevail for indymb and grant him peace and restoration of his relationships with his children.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (indymb’s), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

God of Justice and Mercy,
I humbly ask you to inspire integrity and honesty
in our government. Enlighten our lawmakers and
president so that they will to work together for
the betterment of the U.S. and our world community.
