A few years ago, while I was in primary school, I must have been about 9 years old. I found this prayer written at the back of an old newspaper. . . .

Now I am 25 years old, and I have always prayed this prayer, it has helped me in times of uncertainty, doubts, and many more situations. Maybe someone might have come across it before as well, but here it is.

Humble yourself,

Begin by making the sign of the cross, and reciting hail mary and the Lord’s prayer.

and then pray;
Oh Holyspirit, you who make me see everything, and shows me the way to reach my ideals, you who give me the divine gift to forgive and to forget all wrong that is done to me, and are in all instances of my life with me.
I in this short dialogue want to thank you and affirm once more that I never want to be separated from you no matter how great the material desires may be.
I want to be with you and my loved ones in your perpetual glory. So to that end and submitting to God’s holy will, I ask from you to _________ (insert your prayer petition).

The instructions said to pray it three times a day, for three consecutive days. . . .

PS. If anyone else has encountered this prayer or knows it’s origins, I would be happy to know.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
